Aluminum die casting plays a very important role in the current industry and has a wide range of applications in many industries. With the continuous development of society, people's living needs are higher and higher. During operation, the demand for aluminum die casting process is also increasing.
Main advantages of aluminum die castings
1. Aluminum die castings are beautiful in appearance and light in weight. They can be easily transported in the process of operation. It is also a great advantage to be used in automobiles.
2. The density of aluminum alloy is obviously lower than that of cast iron and cast steel, but it is much higher in strength and corrosion resistance. Therefore, under the same load weight, the use of aluminum die castings can greatly reduce the structural weight.
3. For the surface of aluminum alloy, its surface gloss is very good, and its casting performance is also good.
The mechanical properties and tensile strength of aluminum die castings have great resistance when the material breaks during fabrication. To a certain extent, its elongation is the measurement index of material brittleness and plasticity. Hardness is the resistance of material surface to plastic deformation caused by hard object pressing or friction.
The working temperature and humidity of aluminum die castings, the medium contacted by the workpiece and air tightness requirements, and the accuracy and dimensional stability of the whole product.
To a certain extent, the accuracy of the profile and surface roughness of aluminum die castings will directly affect the working efficiency of pumps and hydraulic systems, energy consumption and the development of cavitation. The strength and heat shock resistance of aluminum castings such as internal combustion engine cylinder block, cylinder head, cylinder liner, piston ring and exhaust pipe will directly affect the working life of the engine.
Sand casting is preferred for aluminum die castings, which is mainly due to its low cost, simple production process and short production cycle compared with other casting methods. When the wet mold cannot meet the requirements, consider using clay sand surface dry sand mold, dry sand mold or other sand mold. The casting method of cast aluminum parts should be compatible with the production batch. Low pressure casting, die casting, centrifugal casting and other casting methods are only suitable for batch production because of the high price of equipment and molds. Cast aluminum parts can be cast in single piece or in batch production.
