Dalian aluminum alloy die-casting is an efficient and high-precision metal forming process widely used in many fields such as automobiles, aerospace, electronics, etc. The following is a detailed introduction to the production process of aluminum alloy die-casting:
1、 Raw material preparation
Aluminum alloy selection
Select the appropriate aluminum alloy grade based on factors such as product performance requirements, dimensional accuracy, and cost. Common die cast aluminum alloys include ADC12, A380, etc. These aluminum alloys have good fluidity, mechanical properties, and corrosion resistance.
Raw material inspection
Strictly inspect the purchased aluminum alloy ingots. The inspection items include chemical composition analysis to ensure that the alloy element content meets the standards; Visual inspection to eliminate raw materials with obvious defects such as cracks, pores, etc; And evaluate the microstructure of the material through metallographic analysis.
2、 Preparation of die-casting molds

Design molds based on the shape, size, and technical requirements of the product. Mold design should consider key factors such as the parting surface, gate position, and cooling system of the mold. Reasonable mold design can ensure uniform flow of aluminum alloy liquid in the mold cavity and avoid defects.
Mold manufacturing
Using high-precision processing equipment and techniques to manufacture molds. The machining accuracy of molds directly affects the dimensional accuracy and quality of die-casting products. After manufacturing, it is necessary to perform surface treatment on the mold, such as nitriding treatment, to improve its hardness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance.
Mold debugging
Before formal production, it is necessary to debug the mold. By trial casting, check whether the opening and closing actions of the mold are smooth, whether the gating system is reasonable, and whether the cooling system is effective. Adjust and optimize the mold based on the results of the trial die-casting.
3、 Die casting process
melting
Put the aluminum alloy ingot into the furnace for melting. During the melting process, the temperature should be strictly controlled, generally around 650-720 ℃, to ensure the fluidity and quality of the aluminum alloy liquid. At the same time, degassing and slag removal treatment should be carried out on the aluminum alloy liquid to remove gases and impurities.
Die casting machine operation
Inject the melted aluminum alloy liquid into the pressure chamber of the die-casting machine, and then push the aluminum alloy liquid at high speed through the punch of the die-casting machine to quickly fill the mold cavity under high pressure. The pressure during the die-casting process is generally between tens of megapascals and hundreds of megapascals, and the filling time is usually between tens of milliseconds and hundreds of milliseconds.



Pressure holding and cooling
After filling the mold cavity with aluminum alloy liquid, it is necessary to maintain pressure to ensure that the aluminum alloy liquid can tightly fill the cavity during solidification, avoiding defects such as shrinkage and looseness. The holding time depends on factors such as the wall thickness and shape of the product, and is generally between a few seconds and several tens of seconds. At the same time, the cooling system of the mold is used to cool the mold and accelerate the solidification of the aluminum alloy.
4、 Demoulding and post-processing
Demoulding
After the aluminum alloy is completely solidified in the mold, open the mold and use the ejection mechanism to eject the die-casting product from the mold. During the demolding process, attention should be paid to avoiding damage to the product.
Go to the sprue and flash edge
Use cutting equipment or hand tools to remove the sprues and burrs on the die cast products. When removing gates and burrs, it is important to ensure accuracy and stability of the operation to avoid affecting the appearance and dimensions of the product.
Post processing
According to the requirements of the product, a series of post-processing procedures are carried out. If shot blasting treatment is carried out on the product to remove surface oxide scale and impurities, and improve the surface quality of the product; Perform heat treatment, such as aging treatment, to improve the mechanical properties of the product; Surface coating is carried out to improve the corrosion resistance and aesthetics of the product.
5、 Quality Inspection and Packaging
