Dalian precision die-casting occupies an important position in modern manufacturing industry, and its full process technology plays a decisive role in producing high-quality and high-precision products.
Mold design is the primary step in precision die-casting. When designing, it is necessary to fully consider factors such as the shape, dimensional accuracy, and production batch of the castings. Using CAD/CAM technology to accurately construct 3D models of molds. The design of the mold cavity should ensure that the metal liquid can be evenly and quickly filled in various parts, avoiding dead corners or turbulence. For example, for complex shaped automotive parts die-casting molds, special gate and runner systems are set up to guide the smooth filling of the metal liquid and reduce the occurrence of defects such as porosity and shrinkage. At the same time, the design of the demolding mechanism of the mold is also crucial to ensure that the casting can be smoothly removed from the mold without damaging the surface and accuracy of the casting.
The setting of die-casting process parameters directly affects the quality of castings. The temperature of precision die-casting in Dalian is very important, including the pouring temperature of the metal liquid and the mold temperature. The appropriate pouring temperature of the molten metal can ensure good fluidity and facilitate filling of the mold cavity. Generally, the casting temperature of aluminum alloy is between 600 ℃ and 700 ℃. The mold temperature needs to be maintained within a certain range to ensure uniform cooling of the casting and prevent deformation, usually controlled between 180 ℃ and 250 ℃. The pressure and speed of die-casting cannot be ignored. Higher die-casting pressure can quickly fill the mold cavity with molten metal, ensuring clear casting contours. The pressure is generally between 50MPa and 150MPa. The die-casting speed needs to be adjusted according to the casting structure, with thin-walled parts requiring faster speed and thick walled parts relatively slower.

After filling the mold cavity with molten metal and cooling it to solidify, the casting is initially formed. But the subsequent handling is equally important. After demolding, the castings need to undergo surface treatments such as deburring and polishing to improve surface quality. For some castings that require extremely high dimensional accuracy, mechanical processing is also necessary to further ensure dimensional accuracy. Some castings undergo heat treatment to improve their internal structure and performance, such as aging treatment of aluminum alloy castings, which can enhance their strength and hardness.
From the careful conception of mold design, to the precise control of process parameters in the die-casting process, and then to the meticulous polishing of subsequent processing, Dalian Precision Die Casting's entire process technology is interlinked, jointly creating high-quality and high-precision die-casting products, providing solid support for the development of modern manufacturing industry.
